Frank Frachea opened the original Frank’s Body Shop in upstate New York in October 1967, seven months after emigrating from his native Italy. Frank learned the business as an apprentice in Italy starting when he was 13 years old. When he moved to the United States, Frank brought with him the old world values of hard work, integrity, and craftsmanship. In addition, to the body shop, Frank operated a successful towing service.
He spent ten years in upstate New York before moving his family to Florida and opening his new shop in 1978. In 1983, he built a brand new facility and he has been serving Pinellas County as a body shop and a towing service ever since.
Since moving to Florida, Frank’s Body Shop has been associated with AAA towing service, providing the Bay area with excellent customer service and satisfaction. His son John grew up in the business and has assumed the day-to-day operations of both the body shop and the towing service. John is proud of what he has been given and works hard every day to maintain the reputation for quality and service his father worked so hard to build.

We are in the final stages of planning for a renovation of our facility with an expansion to our customer waiting area and have plans to open a second, newer and larger facility in the near future. At Frank’s Body Shop, our goal is to expand our operation and be the leader in collision repair while still providing the welcoming customer service, quality collision repair, and remarkable AAA towing that have been our foundation of success since 1982.
